I bought this 1956 for $125.00 in Oct.1980. It had 85,000 original miles on it, 265, 2bbl, 3 speed on the tree. It was last registered and on the road in 1971 or 1972. The car sat in a barn until I bought it in 1980. I have taken the body off of the frame and upgraded it. Upgrades that have been made to the frame, Rack and Pinion power steering, side motor mounts, power front disc brakes, tublar upper and lower A arms, transmission cross member, leaf springs moved inside the frame, 12 bolt posi w/ moroso center section and 4:56 gears, 2" dropped spindles and 2" dropped leaf springs, front and adjustable rear sway bars,classic chevy traction bars. Interior upgrades so far are, pro car bucket seats, sun pro tach and gauges, new door and side panels, 1963 Impala SS console, Hurst super comp. shifter, Flaming River tilt steering column, Painless wiring kit, Solex tinted side glass. Engine is a 1970 350/300hp, comp. cams 519/523, edelbrock intake, holley carb., muncie 4 speed. I still have the body work to do and paint, along with minor odds and ends.
